As a result, the support of her thousands of dedicated customers would help keep her sober throughout her journey.

And that miraculous journey has lasted now for over three decades.

One reason she named the store Twelve n’ Twelve is that she truly wanted it to be authentic and not just some “gift store” that sold recovery products. She is grounded in the twelve steps and twelve traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous and strictly adheres to the twelfth tradition which states that “Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of our traditions, ever reminding us to place principles before personality.” To that end, no matter how many “celebrity” customers she has, you will never see their photos displayed in her store or online. We hold anonymity as our sacred promise to you.

Keate received all 5 star review from yelp.very generous. She has earned a number of citations for her positive impact on the community from the mayor of the city of Los Angeles, the county of Los Angeles, the California State Senate, the California State Legislature and the Share Foundation.
